Delete your account
In the app
Open the You tab, tap the gear in the top right, and choose Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm. It happens immediately and it cannot be undone.
If you no longer have the app
Email support@kintotable.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it, or use the contact form and pick Delete my account as the topic. Sending it from the account's own email address is how we know the request is yours. We will confirm by reply once it is done, normally within a few days and always within 30.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in, so you can no longer log in.
- Your profile: your display name and your profile photo.
- Every night you logged, with its photo, rating and notes.
- Your comments, reactions, ratings, saved recipes and week plans.
- Your notification tokens, so your devices stop receiving anything.
- Recipes you added that nobody at your table has cooked or saved. These go with you.
What stays with your table
A table is a shared memory, so a few things outlive the account that made them. This is deliberate and it is worth knowing before you press the button.
- A recipe you published that someone else has since cooked or saved stays at the table. It keeps the recipe, not you: it passes to the longest-standing member and your name comes off it.
- If you created a table and other people are still at it, the table stays and ownership passes to whoever joined first.
- If you were the last person at a table, that whole table is deleted with you, including its recipes and photos.
- Anything another member separately saved, copied or screenshotted outside KinToTable is outside our reach, as the privacy policy explains.
Deleting your account is not the same as leaving a table. Leaving takes you out and leaves the nights you cooked behind. Deleting removes those nights too. If you only want out of one table, use Leave table instead.
Backups
Your data is removed from our live systems straight away. Residual copies can persist in encrypted backups and disaster-recovery snapshots until those expire and are overwritten in the ordinary course, which takes up to 30 days. Nothing is restored from a backup into the live app after a deletion.
Your subscription is separate
KinToTable Pro is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it yourself first, in your phone's subscription settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → your profile → Payments and subscriptions on Android.
Questions about any of this go to support@kintotable.com, and what we collect in the first place is written out in the privacy policy.
